Senior actress Indira Krishnan who has bagged varied author-backed and powerful roles in her vast career is all ready to take up her next big challenge!! The actress who has been an integral part of Yeh Hai Chahatein the Star Plus show produced by Balaji Telefilms, has quit the show. She played the role of Vasudha, mother of Preesha (Sargun Kaur Luthra).
Indira Krishnan who has enthralled one and all in shows like Krishndasi, Krishnaben Khakhrawala in the last few years, has taken a well-thought decision of quitting the show Yeh Hai Chahatein after going through the feeling that her character is not being utilized to the fullest.
We at IWMBuzz.com talked to Indira who is known for some marvelous performances in characters that have always stood out, and she confirmed the news by saying, “Yes, I decided to quit the show after seeing that my character has been muted for almost three months now. I enjoyed my journey working with the fine production house. But for a caliber actress like me to stand muted, it was not what I wanted. Also, my number of days was also not used. While I shot for hardly 3-4 days in a month, I gave it a good thought and decided to move on. They could not utilize such a skillful actor like me to the fullest. Nevertheless, I don’t regret anything. And now that we are into pandemic times, it is difficult for an actor to take such decisions. I have valued money and hard work always. But when you just end up being a prop in a particular scene, it demeaned me. The team has been very good and I have no complaints at all.”
Looking ahead, Indira wants to bounce back. “I did some beautiful ads for Rajiv Menonji and Maniratnamji down South. I am looking for a role that is hard-hitting. I also want to get into a role that will give me 20 days of work at least. I am a workaholic and would want to keep myself busy.”
