She was 26. Kengeri Police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR No. 76/2025) under Section 194 of the BNSS Act, 2023, and are looking into the circumstances surrounding her death.

According to the police, the incident is believed to have occurred late on the night of December 28 and in the early hours of December 29, 2025. The matter was reported to the police later in the morning, after which officials arrived at the location and began preliminary inquiries.

The incident occurred on the second floor of the PG, where Nandini had been staying for the past few months. She had shifted to this accommodation in August 2025 after living in other PGs across Bengaluru during her acting career.

Police records show that Nandini completed her PUC education in Ballari in 2018. She later enrolled in an engineering course at RR Institute in Hesaraghatta. However, her interest in acting led her to stop attending regular college classes. She subsequently enrolled in an acting training program in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, determined to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Since 2019, Nandini had been working in Kannada television serials and had gradually built a presence on the small screen. Those close to her said she was focused on acting and had chosen to stay independently in Bengaluru to continue her work.

On December 29, police informed Nandini’s family about the incident during the early hours of the morning. Her family members traveled to Bengaluru and reached the city by around 8:00 am to gather details from the police and PG management.

As part of the investigation, police recovered a diary belonging to Nandini. According to the complaint filed by her family, she had written about her wish to continue acting and her reluctance to take up a government job. The diary entries suggested that she felt her family did not fully understand her career choices.
Based on these details, the family told police that they do not suspect any individual or hold any allegations related to her death. Police have stated that, at present, there is no indication of external involvement.

Officials are continuing standard procedures, including recording statements and reviewing available information, to complete the inquiry. Further details are expected once the investigation progresses.
