Bigg Boss is undoubtedly one of the most controversial shows on television. Be it the Hindi version of the reality show, or the Tamil or Bengali version, all of it is filled with controversy and spice. Quite often, we have seen various instances of misogyny erupting from several episodes of the show. We have all seen the infamous case of Swami Om Baba mistreating women in the Hindi version in just the last season of the show. But this time, something absolutely shocking and shameful has come out in the Tamil version of the reality show which is hosted by the legendary veteran, Kamal Hassan.
Kamal Hassan was casually discussing the various difficulties of traveling on a bus. Kamal was quoted as saying in the show,
“Traveling on a bus is really difficult. While some people are rushing to reach office, some just get up to touch women inappropriately.”
This attracted a response from Tamil actor Saravanan who interrupted Hassan in the middle to say that he has done it.
Kamal Hassan naturally thought that he meant he had probably beaten up perpetrators for doing the same. But as shocking as it may sound, he claimed on National Television that he has done the same with women when he was in college. Kamal laughed in return and this hasn’t gone down well with netizens who are absolutely in shock of Saravanan’s audacity. Kamal too attracted controversy for laughing in the situation. However, he later justified that it was a sarcastic laugh.
