Mahhi Vij Breaks Silence On Amicable Separation With Jay Bhanushali: “We Are Peaceful People, We Don’t Like Drama, Fights…”

Mahhi Vij, the popular television star, recently marked her return to the TV screens after almost a decade-long halt with Seher Hone Ko Hai on Colors TV. The actress has been in the headlines lately due to her personal life, as a few days ago, she, in a joint statement with her ex-husband Jay Bhanushali, announced their amicable separation. However, the buzz continues speculating the reason behind the divorce. Addressing all the viral rumors, Mahhi opened up in her latest YouTube video.

In her latest vlog on her channel, Mahhi openly spoke about her amicable divorce with her ex-husband, Jay Bhanushali. Mahhi firstly clarified and confirmed that she and Jay have parted ways and they are divorced, but highlighted that they are still good friends with each other.

Opening up about their divorce, Mahhi said, “We both, we both are made in a way that we both are peaceful people, we don’t like drama, fights, arguments, or dirtiness. We are both peaceful people, and we have mutually decided that we will walk on our own paths.”

Mahhi further revealed the kind of comments regarding why they gave birth, why they adopted children, and reacting to this, she emphasized that their bank accounts are not empty, and they can still raise their children. Mahhi also clarified that Jay didn’t go away, leaving all the responsibilities, stressing that all three children will live the same way they are living.

Calling her and Jay’s amicable separation a good example for the kids, further, Mahhi shared that she thinks it’s a good example for her children, as they will understand that if things don’t work, that doesn’t mean that whole breaking up you should get dirty, bring it to court, make it messy, and involve children. And she thinks her children will feel good that their parents didn’t wish to continue, but they ended it on a good note.

Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali tied the knot in 2011 and announced their separation on January 4, 2026, after almost 14 years of togetherness. The two have a daughter named Tara and two adopted children, Khushi and Rajveer.
