Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 winner Muthukumaran Jegatheesan has landed in controversy after allegations surfaced that he reneged on a marriage promise. Social media influencer Wahidha Begum accused him of promising to marry her, but he backed out.
The controversy further piqued attention after Wahida reportedly attempted suicide after the alleged breakup and was receiving medical treatment. She also dropped videos featuring the Bigg Boss Tamil 8 winner while making serious allegations.
Wahida alleged that she met Muthukumaran in Chennai while recovering from a previous relationship. She further claimed that he showed affection towards her and discussed marriage despite knowing she is already married and has a child.
The influencer revealed that after getting physically intimate, Muthukumaran said he doesn’t intend to marry her.
In one post, she shared a video with Muthukumaran with the caption, “So you did play me right! Thank you so much for fooling me, rather begging to stop all the videos. You made me believe by talking to me. If you can use it, speak the truth or do whatever you want. but do not call me and do not push me again, everything u said playatukula. Big thanks. Why did you save me back.. I am not able to. Everything is a lie.”
Since then, Wahidha has posted almost ten posts sharing details of the conversation and making serious allegations.
In one of the posts, she wrote, “Not rape but False hope and promises.”

And in the other, she said, “Let’s rot in hell together. Goodbye.”
In response to the allegations, Muthukumaran has officially filed a police complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner. He denies the romantic allegations, claiming the shared clips were heavily edited and taken out of context to damage his reputation.
The developing case has drawn widespread attention across regional media circles, with veteran Tamil lyricist Thamarai publicly commenting on the situation and urging a transparent legal evaluation.
Muthukumaran rose to fame winning Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8, hosted by actor Vijay Sethupathi. On 19 January 2025, he won the show, reportedly taking home Rs 40.5 lakh in prize money, a Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and a plot of land.
