Pooja Banerjee, popularly known for playing the grey-shaded character Rhea Mehra in the hit Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya, is set to make her television comeback with another strong antagonist. According to media reports, the actress is likely to play the negative lead in the upcoming show ‘Dil Ki Bewafaiyaan’ starring Gaurav Khanna and Shraddha Arya.

The project marks her official return to the daily fiction space after a brief break. Pooja previously quit to prioritize her growing family with her husband, Olympic swimmer Sandeep Sejwal. After welcoming their daughter Sana, the couple welcomed their second child, a son named Tavas, in June 2025. Following a well-deserved 1.5-year sabbatical to focus on her newborn, she is now ready to step back in front of the camera.

Before Pooja, reports suggested Dhrishti Bhanushali, known for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, will play Manav’s daughter, while Parakh Madan has joined the show.

Produced under the premier banner of Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, Dil Ki Bewafaiyaan has quickly become one of the most talked-about upcoming television launches. The show stars Gaurav Khanna as Manav, marking his first collaboration with Ektaa Kapoor and his return to daily fiction after Anupamaa. At the same time, Shraddha Arya will appear as Janki, marking her second time working with Balaji Telefilms after Kundali Bhagya.

Interestingly, it marks Gaurav Khanna and Shraddha Arya’s first on-screen pairing right after their legendary stints in Anupamaa and Kundali Bhagya.
