Pant Nagar Police have arrested a 29-year-old popular TV actor for allegedly stalking, repeatedly calling and assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Ghatkopar (West).
The accused, currently part of a GEC TV show having romantic plot, a resident of Timber Garden Society near the Western Express Highway Toll Plaza in Dahisar (East), was arrested by the Anti-Gundagiri Squad from his residence at around 5 am on Friday.
According to the complaint lodged by victim’s father (52), a private employee and Ghatkopar resident has alleged the accused allegedly harassed his minor daughter.
Police said that on July 7 (2026) accused allegedly made repeated calls to the victim from his mobile number as well as several other mobile numbers, despite her unwillingness to communicate, causing her harassment.
The complaint further states that on July 5, at around 10 pm, the accused allegedly confronted the girl near her house and chased her, picked an argument with her and assaulted her.
Based on the complaint, Pant Nagar Police registered C.R. No. 874/2026 under Sections 78 and 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police said the accused and the victim were acquainted and had been friends. Following the registration of the case, the accused was arrested and further investigation is underway under the supervision of senior officers.
The allegations are based on the police complaint and FIR. The case is under investigation.
