Prachi Tehlan to play the lead in Suzana Ghai’s next, ‘Ikyavan’ for Star Plus

Producer Suzana Ghai’s Panorama Entertainment received super success with its maiden show on TV, Suhani Si Ek Ladki which depicted the simple and realistic tale of a dark-complexioned girl. The production house later came up with another show on Star Plus, Humko Tumse Hogaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein.

Now, Suzana is all set to come up with a new fiction project on Star Plus, this time of a very tall girl who would be born to change the fortunes of her family.

Titled ‘Ikyavan’, the show will be based on the 51st child (girl child) born in a family. With 51 being a lucky number for Hindus, the girl will be born to change the fortunes of the family. However her birth will bring in a huge tragedy, and how this girl will go through all hurdles and will end up being the one to get a good fortune for her family will be the crux of the story.

We at have got more exclusive information that Prachi Tehlan, the popular sports person turned actress who debuted on TV with Diya Aur Baati Hum has been roped in to play the female lead in Ikyavan.

As per sources “The channel and production house held an extensive search to find a girl with a tall stature. And the hunt has finally ended with Prachi Tehlan, the famous basketball and netball champion cum actor.”

We hear that the show has been approved with its pilot being shot few months back. Now the team will in all probability start shoot very soon.

Coming to Prachi, after finding success as the young generation lead in Shashi Sumeet Mittal’s Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star, the talented girl starred in Punjabi movies, Arjan and Bailaras. She has also shot for a Tamil movie, The Door.
