Star Plus is all again set to bring a tale to our regards, with a setting of a mountain village girl Rajjo, who fights all the odds to strive for her career in sports. Rajjo while definitely happens to be a mythical character here, it’s to vow, that the entire nation has a ‘Rajjo’ in every corner and turn of the streets. Needless to say, we are absolutely exhilarated to witness the daunting journey of this small-town girl, whose only confidante is her mother.
However, what brings twitches to our forehead is when we see Rajjo’s mother trying to helm her away from the world of sports. What’s more, the maker successfully holds back the riddle in the process, getting us as the audience in the groove. But Rajjo doesn’t fail to impress us with her hype and aura, to break through all the ways, and seek her career in sports.
As it elevates further, we see Rajjo getting herself into a devastating plight of loss and trauma, losing her mother to floods. But while she loses her mother in the disaster, she also gets a denial from knowing the truth, as to why her mother steers her away from sports. But her constant quest to reach out to her destiny, she finds out about her mother’s ‘gold medal’ and comes to know that her mother was a national athlete too.
And now to sail off with her search, Rajjo leaves her anguish behind and leads on with a different path with her only saviour Arjun, who saved her from drowning in the floods. But the question remains unanswered, will Rajjo be able to find her mother, with the help of Arjun, a stranger who saved Rajjo from drowning in the floods? Will he become her only conduit to the big city and the means to find her mother? What will happen when Rajjo realizes the truth about her father? And will Rajjo, a girl from a background of no means, be able to make a mark for herself in the exclusive and exploitative world of sports? Will Arjun fall in love with the charming Rajjo and will he be able to resist his family’s pressure to marry someone else?
