After her highly publicized mid-week eviction from the Bigg Boss 20 house, singer and songwriter Rhiti Tiwari broke her silence on the deep personal struggles that shaped her life in a conversation with podcast host Siddharth Kannan. She opened up about her childhood trauma, facing bullying, her parents’ (Manoj Tiwari and Rani Tiwari) separation, and more.

Broken Family Trauma

As the eldest daughter of Bhojpuri megastar and politician Manoj Tiwari and his first wife, Rani Tiwari, Rhiti shed light on the harsh realities of growing up in a disoriented household. “When a person grows up in a broken family, it completely dismantles a bit of who they are,” Rhiti shared. She explained that while it may not seem like much, living under the shifting reality of two separate households leaves an enduring emotional scar that bleeds into adult relationships.

Childhood Life & Bullying

Rhiti called her early childhood as comfortable but noted that her life shifted dramatically when her parents technically separated when she was just eight years old. After the split, she moved in with her mother and maternal uncle, whom she credits with providing her a secure upbringing. She added that music interested her from age 2, and she started training at 9.

Rhiti revealed that she struggled with obesity as a teenager and faced severe, relentless bullying from schoolmates due to her weight. Being a natural introvert, she retreated inward, finding solace exclusively in music.

Reason Behind Manoj Tiwari’s Divorce With Rhiti’s Mother

Revealing the truth behind her parents’ high-profile 2012 divorce, Rhiti clarified that there was no active malice or toxic enmity between them. Rhiti claimed, “Nothing bad really happened,”.

She added, “They were best friends, but as husband and wife, they held vastly different opinions. Ultimately, parting ways was the healthiest decision for both of them.”

The Weight of Salman Khan’s Bashing

Rhiti also talked about her stint inside the Bigg Boss 20 house, admitting that host Salman Khan’s severe dressing down during Weekend Ka Vaar left her deeply devastated.

She revealed that one specific line from the superstar hit her like a ton of bricks: “You were desperate to be seen; now the whole world knows your name.”

Rhiti admitted the comment cut deep because she entered the show hoping to build an independent artistic identity, only to realize the public was now recognizing her for explosive outbursts and controversial altercations rather than her talent.

Life Before Going To Bigg Boss 20

Rhiti shared that she felt like the world around her was burning around four months before her entry in Bigg Boss 20. She revealed that for about 1 to 2 years, she distanced herself from her close ones. She highlighted that her family was under stress, which affected her, and she was in a stagnant phase in her professional music career, which made her feel low and like the world was ending.
