Indian television ecosystem is seeing a trend of bringing back iconic yesteryear TV shows. In the comedy space, pioneer channel SAB TV and its top bosses have decided to bring back popular and superhit comedy show Zabaan Sambhalke.

Zabaan Samhalke, Indian version of British show Mind Your Language, captured audience’s interest back in 1993. It originally aired on DD Metro and later saw a rerun on SAB TV.

The core premise is of an engineer who is forced to teach Hindi to people from all corners of the country as well as the world. The original had actors par excellence namely Pankaj Kapur, Shobha Kote, late Tom Alter among others.

The show was directed by Rajiv Mehra, who now helms Eagle Films.

Now, IndianWikiMedia has learnt that SAB TV is bringing back Zabaan Samhalke and it will be produced under Eagle Films banner.

Says a source, “The show has been commissioned and will have a new cast. It promises to be an entertaining affair.”

To get more information on the same, we buzzed producer Rajiv Mehra and SAB TV top boss Neeraj Vyas, but they did not comment till the time of putting the article to bed.

We will soon come up with more updates. Watch this space.
