Sambhavna took to her Instagram Stories to open up about the ordeal, while keeping the details under wraps for now. Sharing an emotional message, she wrote, “Last night wasn’t something we ever imagined we’d go through. We spent the entire night at the police station… and it’s all connected to our house help.”
FIR Has Been Lodged
In her social media update, Sambhavna Seth further revealed that an FIR has finally been lodged in connection with the matter. However, she has not yet shared details about what exactly happened or the nature of the complaint.
The actress also requested some time before speaking publicly about the incident, indicating that the situation has been emotionally overwhelming for her and her family.
TV actress and content creator Sambhavna Seth and her husband Avinash Dwivedi recently revealed a disturbing incident involving their house help’s sister, who was allegedly held captive and forced to work at a couple’s home in Mumbai’s Kharghar area. The couple shared details of the incident through their YouTube vlog, explaining that their house help Gudiya broke down while revealing that her sister, who had been hired through an agency, was not being allowed to leave.
The girl had reportedly been hired to take care of five dogs and 13 cats, but was allegedly made to do excessive work. When she refused, the couple reportedly claimed that they had paid the agency and that she had to continue working. The agency, however, allegedly denied receiving any money. The girl was allegedly denied food, threatened with death, and had her identity card and clothes hidden to prevent her from escaping.
After learning about the situation, Sambhavna and Avinash immediately stepped in to help. When the agency’s representatives were stopped from entering the building, an NGO worker from the same society reportedly helped them gain access to the house and rescue the girl. She was then brought to Sambhavna’s home in a deeply frightened and distressed state.
The situation later escalated when the accused couple allegedly reached the police station and made claims against the girl. Sambhavna and Avinash then reached Bangur Nagar Police Station around midnight and spent the entire night there, explaining the matter to the police. According to the couple, an FIR was finally registered at 8 AM.
