Beyond being an acclaimed actress, she is a personality who isn’t afraid to speak out on social issues, and this time she addressed rumors about her marriage, denying claims that she is divorced.
In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, when the interviewer asked her why she mentions her husband in the present tense, there isn’t a past tense to the relationship, so how is that, Kanika reveals, “He is not even my ex, I’m not divorced. I don’t know who has raised the rumor. I’m not divorced, why people want to be divorced, I’m not divorcee”
Further, Kanika shared, “He lives in Delhi, and I live in Bombay.” When asked if she is still married, the actress confirmed that she is fully married and still in the marriage. Sharing where the rumors surfaced, the actress emphasized she doesn’t know about it.
Further, when the host shared the rumors surfaced with the reports of 2024 that she filed for divorce. Kanika shared that it was the truth; she did file for divorce, but that dissolved, and she doesn’t know who spread that news too, but people still announced her as divorced.
Kanika Maheshwari married businessman Ankur Ghai on January 18, 2012, and the two welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Nakshesh Ghai, on April 4, 2015.
