Sanjivani (Alchemy Films) fans can breathe a sigh of relief for now. The fear of their favourite low-rating med show, starring Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna going off air very soon, is lifted for now, with Star Plus apparently planning to move it to the 6.30 pm slot.

Given the low numbers, its original 7.30 slot is being given to new limited edition Rajshri show, ‘Dadi Amma Dadi Jaag Jao’, starring Sheen Dass and Anagha Bhosle.

The news of Dadi taking the 7.30 slot was confirmed by the Hotstar Instagram handle.

This shift seems to be have been well-planned. No wonder, first Gul Khan-produced Kulfi Kumar Bajewala was moved half an hour later to 7 pm, replacing ill-fated Namah.

However, Sanjivani fans should not pop the cork on the champagne bottle, for sources add that Sanjivani will not last very long, for this early evening slot is being used as a stop-gap for another show to get ready. Sanjivani producer Siddharth P Malhotra confirmed the time slot change from the 25th, saying, “We finished our prior 6 months contract term on the 25th, and now it’s extended to a new slot at 6:30.”

When asked about the time frame of the extension, he says, “3 months as per contract at 6:30, extendable to 6 months more.”

Interestingly, first it was reported that Dadi Amma will fit the 8.30 pm slot, which was supposed to be designated a limited series slot. Highly successful Yeh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka is supposed to end its 100 episodes towards Feb end.
