Internet personality and actor Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, often creates buzz in the headlines with her outspoken, bold, and bubbly personality. Yet again, unafraid of judgment and trolls, she has made a generous appeal this Diwali—asking people not to burn firecrackers.
On November 3, 2026, in a video captured by paparazzi at the Mumbai airport, Sunita took the opportunity to make a humble request to people, asking them not to burn firecrackers this year, emphasizing the harm it causes to animals, especially dogs, and even to the elderly people in the house.
Sunita said, “Mai sabse ek vinti kerna chahungi ki please aap log Diwali me itna crackers na jalaye kyunki dogs log ko bahot dar lagta hai. Mai request kerti hu sabko log se.”
She also added, “Jiske ghar me dadi dadi, budhe hai unke liye bhi acha nhi hai, kyunki koi heart patient hai aur koi kya hai.”
She clarified that she isn’t asking people not to celebrate Diwali, but emphasized celebrating the festival with happiness, smiles, sweets, games, and quality time with loved ones. She urged people to avoid burning too many firecrackers.
Sunita acknowledged that dogs cannot speak, but they get afraid of the noise of fire crackers while also asked people to take care of the elderly in the house and wished everyone a Happy Diwali at the end.
Sunita Ahuja made her last major show appearance on the reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa (Season 2), hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh on Netflix.
