Screenwriter-author-politician Tuhin A. Sinha wrote a long-awaited and much-needed book titled- ‘The Legend Of Birsa Munda’. The book glorifies the history of Birsa Munda and his contribution to India’s freedom struggle. The eminent personality along with 6 time MP Suresh Prabhu and Shehzad Poonawalla unveiled the cover of the book yesterday.

Tuhin feels that Birsa Munda’s contribution is special. Talking about his book launch, he adds, “It is a great feeling to be writing about one of India’s greatest revolutionaries Birsa Munda, who lived from 1875 to 1900. This is the 75th year of independence when PM Narendra Modi decided to celebrate the unsung heroes who have not got their dues, the book launch is an extension of that philosophy. Birsa Munda is a subject that will be engaging for adaptation on TV, OTT, and all other mediums. The plot points are astounding, from adopting Christianity to finally leading the revolution. He was a social reformer in many different ways.”
When asked about the feeling of renowned personalities praising his new work, he says, “It is a great feeling when renowned names from the industry namely Tarun Katial and Saurabh Tewari support good work. I hope one day my book gets adapted into a TV or a web series or a film at reaches maximum people and they know the contribution of Birsa Munda.”
Later, we also connected with Shehzad Poonawalla, who said, “I am excited about Tuhin A. Sinha’s new book on Birsa Munda. I think the book is extremely important for everybody to realize the kind of contribution the heroes of the freedom struggle have led particularly from the tribal community. I appreciate the PM’s initiative which is Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav where he has encouraged everyone to celebrate the unsung heroes. I appreciate the time and contribution given by Suresh Prabhu ji in this conversation that he had with Tuhin and me.”
