Television actress Tunisha Sharma was found hanging in the makeup room after a tea break while shooting on December 24. No suicide note was recovered at the spot. Police said the reason behind Tunisha`s alleged extreme step was her breakup with co-star Sheezan Khan over a fortnight back.
While Mumbai Police continues to probe all possible angles related to TV actor Tunisha Sharma’s death, her mother has alleged that her daughter was “cheated and used” by her co-star Sheezan Khan, who has been arrested in connection with the suicide.
As per reports in NDTV, a video is going viral on social media wherein Tunisha’s mother is accusing Sheezan of cheating and using her daughter. In a video message, Tunisha’s mother Vanita alleged that Sheezan had promised to marry the 20-year-old actor, but then broke up with her. “Despite being involved with another woman, he continued a relationship with Tunisha. He used her for three-four months. I just want to say that Sheezan should be punished, he should not be spared. I have lost my child,” a distraught Vanita said. She also thanked the media for its support.
A case of abetment to suicide was registered against Sheezan under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code. Sheezan was taken by the officials from Waliv police station to the Vasai court on Sunday.
According to Hindustan Times, amid the ongoing probe, Sheezan reportedly told police that he was ‘so disturbed by the atmosphere in the country’ after the murder of Shraddha Walkar by her live-in partner Aaftab Poonawala, that he decided to end his relationship with the late actor. The actor reportedly said that he told Tunisha that their relationship was not sustainable due to their different religions and age gap.
