Urfi Javed, last seen in Chandra Nandni will play the grown-up Aarti in the Star Plus show.

Urfi Javed, the new negative lead on Star Plus’ Meri Durga

Talented actress Urfi Javed will spring into action in a new avatar in her next show on TV!!

Urfi who has done shows like Tedi Medi Family, Piya Rangrezz, Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhaniya and Chandra Nandni will now join the Star Plus show, Meri Durga.

Meri Durga (Paperback Films) saw the generation leap last week with which the dreams of Durga (Ananya Agarwal) have doubled up with her growing up.

With this begins the new journey to fame for Durga, played by Srishti Jain. And like always, it will be Aarti (earlier played by Arshifa Khan) who will stand as a thorn in Durga’s path.

The role which was so very well presented by child artiste Arshifa will now be taken forward by Urfi Javed. Yes, she enters the show as the grown-up Aarti who will be the negative lead on the show.

As per sources, “Aarti will be all the more bitchy now and will vow to stop Durga’s success in life. Also with the track’s progress, there will be more animosity over the closeness of Durga with Prince (Paras Ranawat) and Aarti will be obsessive over the guy.”

When contacted, Urfi confirmed the news to IndianWikiMedia.com saying, “Yes, it is exciting to be playing the role of the negative lead. It is a happy ambience here on the sets of Meri Durga. My entry will be aired tonight.”

Here’s wishing the girl all the very best!!
