Popular TV actress Vaishnavi Macdonald, who portrayed the role of late actor Siddharth Shukla’s mother in Colors TV’s Dil Se Dil Tak, has made shocking claims about him, talking about his abusive behaviour on sets. The on-screen mother claimed that Siddharth used to abuse both his female co-stars, Rashami Desai and Jasmin Bhasin.
Vaishnavi Macdonald sat down for a candid conversation with podcaster Siddharth Kannan, during which the actress made explosive revelations about the behaviour of Dil Se Dil Tak actors on set and more. When asked if she shared a strong bond with Siddharth, actress Vaishnavi said she didn’t, but that on the first day of the shoot, Siddharth met her. He was very curious and intuitive, and he knew many things about her, and at the end, she called him intellectual and very deep.
Adding to it further, Vaishnavi said, “Frankly speaking, the image that was shown in Bigg Boss, he was not like that, he was just the opposite of that. He was pictured as a very nice, sweet boy, and he is frank and all, but he is sweet and getting along with her, Shehnaaz Gill, and their love story was a nice, cute love story, so it took a different tangent, and in between, something was happening about Rashami, and then Jasmin entered.”
“It was bothering me when he spoke about Rashami and whatever was happening with her. I don’t say that Rashami is very, like she is a very good human, or anything, but she is a very nice person to work with, and she used to gel with everyone on the sets well; we used to eat together, and I have never seen Rashami misbehaving on the sets, she has never misbehaved. Means what she wants, she wants anyhow, but she used to put her demands in a different way, but I have never seen her abusing on the sets, but this guy (Siddharth Shukla), he used to abuse with very filthy words, so what was pictured in Bigg Boss, he was totally opposite.”
Explaining it further, Vaishnavi said, “I don’t remember it exactly, but at that time something was there, and he was projecting her; she was getting projected in a very wrong way, like she is the problem maker, and like this and all, but he (Siddharth) was not respectful towards women on the sets. He was not respectful towards both Rashami Desai and Jasmin Bhasin. Sometimes he used to become Rashami’s friend, sometimes Jasmin’s friend, and they used to gang up and do ragging on the sets, targeting the other (Rashami and Jasmin).”
Emphasizing the incidents, Vaishnavi said, “Ragging used to happen, and filthy words were used.”
Vaishnavi emphasized that these things used to happen on the sets in front of everyone and when asked why she didn’t stop him the actress shared she found it strange and recalled an incident when his shot was ready but he was looking at her in anger also that Rashami and Jasmin used to take his behaviour in joke because of that maybe she didn’t say anything or else if they would have raised their voice so she would have supported and personally she ignored Siddharth’s behaviour because she didn’t wish to do the producer’s loss because of her. She also mentioned Siddharth was said to go out from the sets at one moment, but was called back as the channel wanted him.
