Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the Star Plus and Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut show has made history!! It achieves the enormous feat of completing 5000 episodes on 3 December. Presently in its fourth generation story, the show has seen humongous ups and downs in the lives of its prime characters. Every generation of the show has offered freshness, and has been loved by the loyal viewers. The show started with Karan Mehra and Hina Khan playing the protagonists – Naitik and Akshara. Later, Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi took over as leads in the iconic roles of Kartik and Naira. Further, it was Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod playing Abhimanyu and Akshara as the leads. And now, the flag is held high by Rohit Purohit and Samridhii Shukla as Armaan and Abhira.
However, the special montage that has been released by the channel to celebrate the memorable 5000 episodes achievement of the show, has a stunning reveal, that has left everyone shocked. The montage shows Pranali standing alone, with the clear absence of Harshad Chopda from it.
Well, this has raised a lot of questions, in fact, strong reactions and angry comments coming across from the Harshad Chopda fans on the omission of their favourite actor, who has indeed been a big part of the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai legacy!!

Well, we certainly wonder what the reason can be!!
We know by now that things were not lucid during the exit of Harshad Chopda from the show. The third generation story had wrapped up amid big rumours that all was not fine between Harshad and the makers and production house. However, for the uninitiated, there has never been anything coming out officially on it till now.
And now to see Harshad’s omission takes us back to the same theory!! Do things still remain complicated? Is that the reason for Harshad being omitted?
Giving due credit to the show’s legacy over 5000 episodes, we wish the entire team of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on this humongous feat and wish them many more such happy occasions!!
