Zee Punjabi’s Geet Dholi is a smashing hit, rocks TRP charts

It’s been just a week since Geet Dholi got aired on ZEE Punjabi, and it’s a smashing hit, rocking the TRP charts. The show got 1.39 TVR in week 35 of BARC (The Broadcast Audience Research Council) ratings. Earlier, we at IWMBuzz announced ZEE Punjabi launching four back-to-back shows, and it seems Geet Dholi has come out to be the netizens’ favourite most surely.

Geet Dholi, aired on 30th August (Monday to Friday, from 8 pm), spun on the story of a dauntless girl, who wants to thrive in the man’s world with her dream of becoming a dhol player, following her father’s legacy and prove that music has got nothing to do with the gender. In this long excruciating journey, the girl gets a hand of pouring support from her husband Malhar, who loves her moon to back and gets her through to quest for her dream and make it true.

Says Rahul Rao, Business Head at Zee Punjabi, “Zee Punjabi has been amongst the most successful regional GECs launched in the country and it has been performing consistently since its launch over a year ago. Excited with the response to Geet Dholi. We are humbled and If I were to sharply define one singular USP I would say it’s our unwavering consumer focus which manifests in our shows.”

Geet Dholi truly has smashed all competition out of the park emerging as the slot leader. It seems ZEE Punjabi truly knows the pulse of the audience, cooped inside their homes! Noting that, we guess, it’s absolutely safe to say that ‘Entertainment means ZEE Punjabi’.
