The creative honcho shared bits from his debut show Dhhai Kilo Prem on his photo sharing app, marking 3 years to the day the show first aired on television. He wrote about his journey, ‘My first show as a producer and my new step forward in telling the stories those are different, real and the ones that come straight from my heart. Yes, there are lot more stories to tell, a lot from dreams to achieve but the first will always be THE FIRST.’
Creative honcho having for some of the most successful shows on television as a creative director, Sandiip began his journey as a producer & walked an unconventional path for his maiden show. He cast fresh faces to play the protagonists & the show was a love story brewing between an overweight girl & a fit boy.
The show went on to become a hit even at a non prime slot & Sandiip bagged critical accalim for telling a story not many makers have on television.
Anjali Anand who was spotted by the producer himself at a coffee shop in Juhu, became an overnight success & became the face for endorsing many plus size fashion brands starting a new movement. Sandiip also produced a tell-all talk show Juzzbaat followed by Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum. His current show Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali, a remake of his hit Telegu show Gorintaku is gradually making way to the hearts of the audiences with his yet another pathbreaking storytelling.
