ShraddhaSohan Casting LLP is a strong force in the mediums of films, OTT and TV. Tell us about the company and its goals?

Shraddha Sohan Casting was started with a clear vision—to discover, nurture, and present authentic talent across films, OTT platforms, and television. Our goal has always been to bridge the gap between real performers and meaningful storytelling. We strongly believe that the right casting doesn’t just fill roles; it elevates narratives. Over time, the company has grown into a trusted name, known for introducing fresh faces while also understanding the sensibilities of established talent and large productions.

How do you juggle work between all mediums?

Each medium has its own rhythm and demand, so it’s all about adaptability and planning. Television requires speed and continuity, OTT demands layered performances and realism, while films need detailed preparation and long-term vision. We stay organised with dedicated teams, clear timelines, and constant communication with creators. Switching between mediums keep us creatively alert and helps us evolve with changing industry dynamics.

Talk us through your recent works – Rajni 2.0, Seher Hone Ko Hai and others.

Our recent projects have been extremely fulfilling. Rajni 2.0 was a challenging yet exciting experience where casting had to match a strong narrative and visual scale. Seher Hone Ko Hai is close to our heart—it’s a story rooted in hope and transformation, and we focused on finding actors who could bring emotional depth and freshness. Vasudha demanded a grounded, relatable casting approach suited to television audiences. Each project had different creative requirements, and that variety is what makes our work exciting.

We hear your films are also expected for release. Anything about them?

Yes, a few film projects we’ve worked on are lined up for release. While it’s still early to reveal details, we can say that these films explore diverse genres and strong characters. The focus has been on meaningful casting rather than just names, and we’re genuinely excited to see these stories reach the audience.

How different is it to cast for the mediums of films, TV and OTT?

The process varies greatly. Films allow more time for character exploration and demand a strong screen presence. Television casting is faster and requires actors who can sustain performances over long periods. OTT platforms sit somewhere in between, often asking for raw, realistic, and nuanced performances. As casting directors, we tailor our approach based on the medium while keeping the soul of the character intact.

How do you usually prefer actors to prepare for auditions?

Preparation is key. We encourage actors to understand the character beyond the lines—its background, emotions, and journey. Being natural, honest, and open to direction makes a huge difference. We also value discipline, punctuality, and a willingness to learn, as those qualities often stand out as much as talent.

How do you balance creative vision with practicality when it comes to casting?

It’s a fine balance. While creative vision drives casting choices, practicality like budget, availability, and audience connect also plays a crucial role. Our job is to find the best possible actor who serves the story while aligning with production realities. When creativity and practicality meet, the results are always rewarding.

Tell us about upcoming projects if you can?

There are several exciting projects in the pipeline across television, OTT, and films. While we can’t disclose details just yet, we can promise that they involve fresh concepts, strong storytelling, and a mix of new and established talent. The focus remains on quality casting and meaningful collaborations.
