From engaging audiences for over a decade to having us in splits over the situation comedy it showcases, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, produced by Neela Telefilms, has become the cult comedy of the small screen.

The show is not only loved because of its funny content, but also because of the characters playing their roles perfectly. Some characters from the show make sure that our eyes will be on them till the last moment. Someone like Jethalal, Champak chacha, Popatlal, Hathi Bhai, Sodhi, Master Bhide, Dayaben and Mr., and Ms. Iyer make sure the audience keeps laughing.

Some characters who give us reason to hate them are:

Bavri (Bagha’s fiancee) – Her dialogue “hay-hay Galati se mistake ho Gayi”, give us a headache every time we listen. The only time we liked her was when she played cricket in GPL.

Babita Ji- Nowadays she is doing good as compared to others but we will never forget the days when she used to overact a bit. The way she used to talk with Jethalal with her eyes rolling and tongue unnecessary coming out was very irritating.

Tarak Mehta- Tarak Mehta is like Loreal ( many problems one solution) from Jethalal’s hair problem to Babuji’s hickup he can sort anything. This wise man has a solution to every god damn problem. Nothing can be solved without his interference. And how can one forget his irritating one-liners? But can’t deny the fact that he is that one loyal friend everyone needs.

Tapu- This kid does things faster than the velocity of light. He is fearless. He follows my life, my rules religiously. Even the Secretary of Gokuldham can’t stop him, want to know why? Because he is a leader of Tapu Sena. Other kids are not that smart, and they are born to follow Tapu. No one can defeat him be it cricket or anything else. He is the smartest one out there.

Mr. Iyer- His accent is very fake and annoying, and at the same time, there is a loophole. According to Jethalal, he is a rocket scientist, but every time they show him doing something with chemicals in the laboratory.

Champaklal -Last but not least, I would never live in a society where an elderly man slaps others because they wanted to celebrate 31st December without their family members. He is Tapu’s dada ji for a reason. He is like Hitler of society. A person none wants to mess with. Remember his irritating acting when he came to Mumbai for the first time to live with Jethalal.
