Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon was a simple love story with the perfect combination of an excellent series – family, traditions, beliefs, humour, love, hate and marriage; a series that can be enjoyed and watched as a family as well as for the young and old. The awesome and sizzling chemistry between the female and male lead – Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti – and their superb performance as Khushi Kumari Gupta and Arnav Singh Raizada were outstanding and loved by the viewers.
They have become one of the most popular Jodis of Indian TV and it is no wonder that IPKKND1 is still loved by fans/viewers and is very popular worldwide.
Sanaya and Barun’s portrayal of all these values and qualities is superb. Their love story is a human story in which they so effectively and realistically play out a range of emotions typical in real life, that you forget it is fiction -it looks so real. They are both Masters of Expression.
In both the hate and love/passion scenes, their extraordinary chemistry shines through. The artificial barriers society creates to keep them apart crumble in the face of this great love they share, but initially deny. When two souls are destined to be together, nothing can keep them apart. Barun, a.k.a Arnav, and Sanaya, a.k.a. Khushi, were made for each other.
