Set in Rajkot, it is the story of two different personalities, Mishti Agarwal and Abir Rajvansh as they challenge the outdated ideas about arranging relationships and marriages.
Mishti is a soft heartened and a down-to-earth lady who believes in independence. She is a self-made girl and understands the importance of a relationship. Estranged by her parents, she was adopted by the Maheshwari household, the same house which we see in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Abir is a cheerful, free, and positive-minded boy who loves to express his feelings using his poetry and shayaris. Since Mishti and Abir work collectively, they make a bond of friendship and understanding, come near and fall in love. While Abir falls in love with Mishti, she breaks off her marriage with Kunal knowing he doesn’t love her.
The table turns as Kunal marries Kuhu without his will but the twist comes when Kuhu gets to know that Kunal does not love her. Whereas Meenakshi keeps two choices in front of Abir to select either Kunal or Mishti and being helpless, Abir ends his love for Mishti.
Finally, when Abir and Mishti come together, they talk about their love for their respective families and of their love, and also Nishant backs off and is sorry.
The almost happy ending we get to see when Mishti and Abir get married whereas Kuhu and Kunal also reconnect.
Now talking of the cast, Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh plays the role of Mishti and Abir respectively, and are known as Mishbir. Kunal and Kuhu are played by Ritvik Arora and Kaveri Priyam. Meenakshi is played by Rupal Patel and Vatsal Sheth played the small role of Nishant.
