She graduated from Sydenham College and was pursuing an MBA degree before becoming a model. Irani made her acting debut with a cameo in the Yash Raj film, Fanaa (2006), as Mehbooba.
Irani had announced her relationship with Mohit Sehgal, her co-star from the serial Miley Jab Hum Tum, on 19 November 2010, the last day of the shoot. In December 2015, Irani got engaged to Sehgal. They tied the knot on 25 January 2016 in Goa.
Mohit Sehgal is an Indian television actor. He is best known for his role of Samrat Shergil in the Indian television series, Miley Jab Hum Tum, on STAR One.
