Rupali Ganguly is well known for her appearances as Monisha Sarabhai in the iconic sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Mona Mittal in Kkavyanjali on Indian television. Anupamaa, a top-rated Hindi serial in the country, is the show that catapulted her to the top of the heap of her peers. Ganguly is the main character in the daily serial and is easily one of the most popular bahus on television. While we may be familiar with her television roles, there are many lesser-known aspects of the actor’s life that would pique the interest of her followers.

Rupali’s first acting role was in the film Saaheb when she was only seven years old (1985). Rupali is a Bengali who was born in the city of Kolkata in the state of West Bengal. Anil Ganguly, Rupali’s father, is a well-known director. She was trained in acting from the time she was a child because her father worked in the profession. She also appeared in her father’s film Balidan as a child artist. Rupali went on to study Hotel Management after finishing her education. She opened an advertising agency in Mumbai in the year 2000.

The actress had body image issues and received a lot of backlashes after she gained weight after giving birth. “I couldn’t look at myself since my body changed. I’d be terrified to leave the house for fear of what others would remark. Why would anyone want to look at me if I couldn’t see myself?” During an interview with a major entertainment website, Rupali stated. Anupamaa had Rupali as a backup plan. Many other renowned names, like Mona Singh, Gauri Pradhan, Juhi Parmar, and Sakshi Tanwar, were given the female lead part before the creators decided to cast her.
