There is a Sikh family (Roshan Singh Sodhi), a Marathi (Bhide Master), two Gujarati families (Jethalal Gada and Mehta Saheb), a South Indian (Iyer), a North Indian (Dr. Hansraj Hathi).
There is one bachelor Patrakar Popaltal too in the society and shop owner Abdul and Tapu Sena. There are outside society characters like Natukaka, Bagha, and Bavri.
Daya Ben’s Garba, her voice and her dedication and love to her family and colony people. Jetha Lal’s comic timing, his crush on Babitajee and his love and lovingly fights with Daya Ben are the interesting parts of this show. Babujee’s scolding to Jetha, his respect by society people, Tappu Sena, their ideas, their antakshari, dance, programs in the society and their cuteness and naughty acts.
Since Dayaben is out of the serial for past 2 years it is difficult for the director, actors, script, and everyone on the show to act and work as they don’t have Disha Vakani still on the show. The story is stretched too much and we know that at the limit they have to replace dayaben or call old one.
The track when started was exciting to watch. How the Chaddi gang tried to steal Jetha’s shop items, how Daya, Champak Chacha, Tappu and Sunder foil their plans but now I feel this track is being stretched too much. I guess it’s one month since the track started yet it has not reached its definite conclusion. I just hope they conclude this track next week and start with a fresh one!
Let’s hope that Dayaben will make a strong comeback and no longer the director will stretch the script!
