Back in the 1990's

Veteran Television shows we all miss

Right from Vikram Aur Betaal to Byomkesh Bakshi, the shows were a lifeline to all the kids in their 90’s. Not only the kids but the whole family could watch these types of shows. Instead of that typical Saas-bahu type serials, we have some shows you missed as a kid.

Shanti: Before going all cool with gym freak while wowing cricket-lovers, Mandira Bedi wowed us with Shanti

Captain Vyom: Heavily inspired by Star Trek, Captain Vyom was the start of the sci-fi genre in India. Captain Vyom aka Milind Soman was the leader of the team and pledged to catch all dangerous criminals who escaped from a high-security prison.

Byomkesh Bakshi: At a time when detective shows were not in the talk, Byomkesh Bakshi showed what a true detective is capable of. It was one of the best shows telecasted on TV.

Shaktimaan: Many superheroes like Spiderman, Batman, Superman will come and go but Shaktimaan is close to our heart than anyone. The favorite superhero of 90’s kids was in talks to make comeback but we doubt.

Shrimaan Shrimati: Yes, the better version of now daily soap Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hain? It was based on two individuals living their neighbor’s wife.

Shakalaka Boom Boom: How can we forget the magic pencil that brings every drawing to life. Still a dream of many children, right? Sanju’s adventures along with his magic pencil were simply amazing!!
