Sourjya Mohanty has founded Aurrelis, a Mumbai-based fragrance house, where he will serve as Founder and Chief Perfumer.
Mohanty brings over 20 years of professional experience, including 15 years dedicated to perfumery. A Chartered Accountant by qualification, he trained in perfumery at SDA Bocconi in Italy and has practised the craft in Europe and the Middle East.
His experience spans fine fragrance composition as well as traditional Middle Eastern ingredients such as oud, attars, amber, saffron and rose. He has established Aurrelis with a focus on fragrances suited to Indian skin and climatic conditions.
The brand’s portfolio includes the Royale, Boss, Signature, Oud Prive, Slayd, Gongbi and Taahara collections. Its fragrances are positioned as Extrait de Parfum, with a stated longevity of over 12 hours.
