The first season which was titled Kawach… Kali Shaktiyon Se premiered on 11 June 2016 and starred Mona Singh, Vivek Dahiya and Sara Khan as Paridhi, Rajbeer and Manjulika.
The second season titled Kawach… Maha Shivratri premiered on 25 May 2019, starring Deepika Singh, Namik Paul and Vin Rana as Sandhya, Angad and Kapil.
Kawach 1 was dubbed in into Tamil as Maya Mohini and aired on Star Vijay TV but gradually lost viewers. Kawach 2 is dubbed into Tamil as Sandhya and airs on Colors Tamil TV. Kavach 2 is also dubbed in Bengali and airs on Colors Bangla as Kavach Mahashivratri.
This series portrays the mystery of Lord Shiva’s temple in Dev Lali beside a cremation ground where if an unmarried woman worships Lord Shiva on Mahashivratri night in that temple at 4 am can see her future husband’s face. Evil spirits wander fearlessly at this time.
Meanwhile, she gets engaged with Angad, her boss, but unfortunately, she meets the man whom Lord Shiva had destined to be her future husband, during her ring ceremony, the man is supposed to be Angad’s best friend Kapil. This raises a lot of confusion in Sandhya’s mind.
Finally, Sandhya decides to get married to Angad to test his loyalty, but as things had been destined by Lord Shiva, Sandhya gets married to Kapil. But it turns out that Kapil is an evil entity with hidden motives of revenge which he had been holding for the past two years.
Well, it all revolves around these turn of events. It’s a total horror story, just like you would get to see in movies, so it’s quite different and for sure every episode will make it difficult for you to sleep at night.
