Dayaben the famous and iconic character in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been resoundingly popular and has been the crowd puller on TV for many years now. The long and successful show has been popular for its characters. All of the characters have had their solid ground and popularity, but Dayaben is something that is close to everyone’s hearts.
Actress Disha Vakani who played the role of Daya made the character look so real and happy going, that viewers immediately connected to it. Her amazing dialogue delivery, her screen presence, her acting prowess and above all her stupendous garba in the show were all screen-stealers.
We miss Dayaben now, and we tell you the reason why Disha is not around in the show now. In the year 2017, Disha got into the family way and went for her maternity break. After giving birth to a baby girl, Disha has been playing the full-time mummy to her daughter off the screen and has not found it important to get back to the show.
Work has certainly taken a back seat for actress Disha, but the audiences have been missing the character quite a lot. Recently, Producer Asit Kumar Modi had talked to media stating that if Disha is not ready to get back, he will start looking for a replacement.
Though nothing is confirmed at the moment, we still hope that Dayaben and Disha will come back soon.
