Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol is back with a fresh ‘Season 11’. Sitting on the panel of judges are acclaimed names from the music industry- Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani. This year’s theme of Indian Idol ‘Ek Desh Ek Awaz’ breaking all stereotypes, celebrates diversity in its true sense.
Bollywood’s one of the most versatile singers Divya Kumar came to the grand premier of Indian Idol season 11 to support Maharashtra’s knightingale Rohit Raut.
After Rohit’s performance all the three judges and Divya Kumar were so entranced that they gave him a standing ovation. Rohit sang Divya’s song Jee karda and Divya found Rohit’s version of the song incredible and couldn’t stop appreciating him. Both Rohit and Divya performed on the melody Jee karda which made the audience sing with them.
The host of Indian idol season 11 Aditya Narayan also revealed that he and Divya Kumar used to go to the same college and were very good friends and he was extremely happy seeing him on the sets of Indian idol season 11.
Anu Malik was so impressed by his performance that he stood on the podium for the second time to appreciate him and said Rohit’s energy on the stage was marvelous and the way he sang the song he took it to another level which was fantastic.
Rohit Raut said “I never expected that my talent would be valued in such a way, such great singers would be appreciating me and will be there to guide me. These comments always act as booster for me to perform better every time because I don’t want to put down anyone who has shown trust in me and my singing.”
