When Paras Kalnawat made the decision to leave Anupamaa for Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 10, he was the subject of debate. His abrupt departure from the well-liked television series starring Rupali Ganguly drew much attention. It appears that he and the makers were at odds. The actor recently admitted he had too much left to do when he was featured on the dance reality show. He claimed he was debating his choice and that participating in JDJ would either make him well-known or permanently damage his reputation.
Jhalak Dikhla Jaa judge Karan Johar came out in support of him, stating that whatever decision he made to leave the competition was a good one and that he can remain on the show for a long time. The two didn’t mention the show during their talk, though. It was said that Paras broke a contract with Anupamaa when he joined up for Jalak Dikhla Jaa 10 (season 10).
The actor responded to claims that they had broken their contract by saying, “Contracts are made by the producers. I did not even know that anything like that was going to come out by Rajan sir (Rajan Shahi), and I spoke to him even before signing the contract. There was no breach of the contract because we were very politely told by the makers that if someone wanted to leave, they could happily leave at any time. That’s what we were told. He declared that he didn’t want to make any statements about the producer out of disrespect.
