Raju Srivastava had a sad ending when after battling for his life for more than a month, he passed away at AIIMS, Delhi. The ace comedian has achieved quite a lot in his career, all through his amazing prowess for comedy and sincere work. Success did not come to Raju, placed on a golden spoon. He had to work really hard to get where he was when he died.

Raju is from Kanpur, and he lived a simple life. He belonged to a middle-class family. He came to Mumbai in the ’80s to pursue a career. He started his career as an auto-rickshaw driver. However, comedy was his passion and he wanted to do something along those lines. He performed in a comedy show initially for just Rs 50. He has been part of films Baazigar, Maine Pyaar Kiya. His big breakthrough happened with The Great Indian Challenge in 2005. His stage character of Gajodhar Bhaiya gave him all the name and fame. Even today, when people wrote about his sad demise, they put comments that they will miss their Gajodhar Bhaiya. That was the power Raju brought into that character he played.

He had a great career in the line of comedy. He was the chairperson of the Film Development Council, Uttar Pradesh.

His sudden heart attack on 10 August, and his long battle in the hospital was painful for his family and well-wishers for sure.

Raju is in a place now where he will be loved all the more for his comic punches!
