This weekend on the Govinda-Neelam special episode of Super Dancer – Chapter 4, contestant Sanchit Chanana from Jalandhar, Punjab along with super guru Vartika danced away on the mash up of popular Govinda-starrer tracks from the 80s, ‘I am a street dancer’ and ‘Pehle Pehle Pyaar Ki’ peppered with waacking & voguing styles leaving everyone awestruck!
While praises poured in from all quarters along with a ‘seedhi’ ovation, Neelam went on to add, “Sanchit, you were outstanding! You remind me of a mini Hrithik Roshan. These songs are from the movie Ilzaam and the costumes that you are wearing – with tassels, I had worn something exactly similar in the song. I love your costumes and I loved this performance.
Govinda remembered having danced with Vartika in the past and said that even then it looked like she will go on to become a dance master soon, and looking at her now, he congratulated her. About the performance, he went to add, “When we shot for this song while filming the movie, we felt we have done wonders. But ye performance dekhne ke baad aisa lagta hai ki wo toh kuch bhi nahi tha! Assal to aaj humne dekha hai.”
Obliging Govinda’s request, Sanchit performed a solo act and further astounded the judges and the guests. As his blessing, Govinda bestowed him with a heartfelt gift. He gave Sanchit his personal golden jacket.
