We all know Dilip Joshi as Jethalal Champaklal Gada from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah who lives in Gokul Dham society and makes us laugh through his funny faces and rustic dialogues. But in real life, he is much more than what we see. Before turning up to be one of the funniest guys on the television, Dilip Joshi was a theatre artist and performed in various plays in his early days. He has mostly performed in comic roles and is so-called the Laughter king.
Dilip Joshi’s Bollywood career started back in 1989 when he played the role of Ramu in Salman Khan’s Maine Pyar Kiya. Later, he worked in various Gujarati dramas and started earning the name. He again jumped to Bollywood with Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Hum Aapke Hain Koun…! and after the success, he bagged the role of Jethalal Gada in one of the most popular sitcoms, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He won 5 Telly awards and 2 ITA awards for his acting accolades.
