Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is all set to welcome a new Nattu Kaka. Ghanshyam Nayak, who played the part for many years, passed away last year due to cancer. The makers introduced actor Kiran Bhatt to essay the part. In a video shared on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s official YouTube page, producer and creator Asit Kumar Modi talks about how no one can replace Ghanshyam Nayak, but as the saying goes ‘the show must go on’. He adds that he is positive audiences will give Kiran the same love as they gave to the late actor.

Now, as per reports in Koi Moi, during a conversation with ETimes, Kiran revealed how he bagged the role of Nattu Kaka in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He said, “To play this iconic character of Nattu Kaka is a very good feeling. I was called for the audition for this role by Asit Modi ji and the makers liked my way of doing it and so that is how I bagged it. Asit ji ne bola you have to do the role and I couldn’t say no to him.”

He further said, “Yeh jo Nattu ka character hai usko live rakhne ke liye I am trying to copy his mannerisms in my own way. People used to like him a lot and so I am sticking to how he used to portray the character.”
