Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai's Pankhuri Awasthy VS Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke's Palak Purswani: Your Favourite On-Screen Negative Role?

The viewers keep watching TV for hours on their favorite serials so that there is no such thing as a shortage in their entertainment, but when there may be nothing spicy in the serials then everything appears boring. A show with no vamp means pulses without tempering means no fun at all.

Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke have managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their TV sets with its drama-packed episodes. The show starring Shivangi Joshi- Mohsin Khan and Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma within the respective roles of Naira and Kartik and Abir and Mishti is doing fairly nicely when it comes to TRPs. The attention-grabbing twists and turns in the show have helped it in grabbing several eyeballs.

The most hated character, Vedika aka Pankhury Awasthy, who was seen in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai goes to make her Bollywood debut with Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan, a spin-off to the 2017 movie Shubh Mangal Saavdhan besides Ayushman Khuranna.

She made her TV debut in 2014. She was seen in shows like Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Fanaah S2, Razia Sultan, and many more. Vedika has come to harass Karthik and Naira. The viewers liked her tips. Her act and dialogues gave her the title of the best vamp of Star Plus only till she got a competition!

The newcomer in a negative role, Palak Purswani the younger actress has just lately joined the unit of Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, the favored Star Plus show produced by Director’s Kut in the role of Shweta.

Shweta aka Palak Purswani, who’s a part of Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke loves being a part of the mission. The actor, who has been seen in daily soaps like Ek Aastha Aisi Bhi, TV Meri Hanikarak Biwi, and net collection Dil Hi Toh Hai Season 2, says that she loves her character.

Asked about playing a negative character, she said “Negative has always been my genre as it’s so challenging to perform a negative role rather than a positive character. Shweta’s character is special as it has both parts to play. She is trying to be the naive one in front of Kunal and she is negative otherwise. So, I get to play both which is the fun element. Also, I loved being the ‘blast from the past’. There’s so much drama to add to the show”.

So, we are anxiously waiting for her to show her true colors, right?
