Every other day we read news about domestic violence cases across the country. This week Sony SAB’s most loved show, Pushpa Impossible, will shed light on this topic when Pushpa will step up to defend Nilima against her abusive husband, Ramesh, and that too on Dussehra, the day we burn all our evils! Women, who experience abuse from their families need support and someone who will stand by them in times of need, and who better to play this role than a woman herself?
On the eve of Dussehra, residents of Bapodra Chawl are preparing for the Ravan Dahan, and Pushpa is performing a pooja before the auspicious event. Pushpa is fed up and disheartened seeing her friend suffer at her husband’s hands every day, so she plans to end the misery once and for all. As she proceeds, she hears screams coming from Nilima’s house. She stalks and walks toward Nilima’s house and finds Nilima’s husband, Ramesh, belting her. Pushpa catches the belt mid-air as he prepares to strike again. The next thing we witness is Pushpa walking out of the house with blood splattered on her face. Nilima’s husband is discovered in a pool of his own blood, which means trouble for Pushpa.
