TV shows which are popular and have a long run with dedicated viewers is always a blessing!! There are many such shows on Indian Television which have now gone off air after a really good run, after getting all the love and warmth of the audience.
Two such shows that remain etched in our memories are Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Ishqbaaaz.
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein that beamed on Star Plus was a Balaji Telefilms produced show. It had a good run for over five years and spanned stories of two generations. Its lead Jodi of Raman and Ishita, so gracefully portrayed by actors Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi will remain as one of the evergreen Jodis of Indian television. The story narrative, the crisp plot and the usual twists and turns that TV shows provide, were huge in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The show is such a cult that its spin-off Yeh Hai Chahatein went on air immediately.
Ishqbaaaz is iconic in TV history for many reasons. The Gul Khan produced 4 Lions Films show which beamed on Star Plus is memorable for many reasons. It brought about the bromance of the Oberoi brothers in a huge way. The three boys Nakuul Mehta, Kunal Jaisingh and Leenesh Mattoo exhibited great onscreen bonding as brothers. Secondly, the love quotient that got really popular of Shivaay Singh Oberoi (Nakuul Mehta) and Anika (Surbhi Chandna) was an adorable watch.
The show was again so popular that it had its spin-off in Dil Boley Oberoi.
We certainly miss these two cult shows, and given a chance which show will you vote for to get back with a rerun?
