The episode of Anupamaa starts with Kavya coming out and telling Vanraj that her divorce is finalized. Anirudh congratulates them. Kavya says that now they are free and they can marry the next day. Vanraj gets tensed hearing the news. Anupamaa and the female members of the family are gossiping. Samar comes in and asks what he missed. Anupamaa sees decoration outside and asks if there is a party. Dolly says Kavya has told Advait to make arrangements for their wedding. Samar says that he will not attend the marriage. Anupamaa says that it is his papa’s wedding as well so he should attend. Advait comes and asks for Anupamaa’s tea. Kavya tells Vanraj in the car that Adavit must have already started doing the wedding arrangements. She stops the car to get sweets. Vanraj feels he is stuck in this.
Baa jokes with Advait. Samar asks him about the surgery date. Toshu tells Anupamaa to not worry. Anupamaa says why will she worry when she has her family with her. She says that she still has to see Toshu’s children and Pakhi and Samar’s marriage. Advait tells her to keep her positive attitude. Vanraj comes back and seeing everyone enjoying in Anupamaa’s cottage gets frustrated. Kavya goes and calls out for Anupamaa. She says that her divorce is finalized today and she will marry tomorrow. She gives sweets to Anupamaa. Anupamaa congratulates her. Kavya tells Baa to prepare Mehendi and tells Samar, Nandini and Pakhi to prepare dance as she doesn’t want the marriage to be boring. Toshu, Samar, and Pakhi discuss that they still haven’t learned to live without mummy and God is giving them stepmother.
Anupamaa sees Kavya dancing. She thinks that Kavya is so excited and happy but Vanraj is looking frustrated. Baa is grinding Mehendi, after seeing Anupamaa she starts complaining. Anupamaa tells her to talk to her son once so that he won’t cause a problem during the function. Baa says whatever will happen let it happen, she can’t stop it. Kavya shows Vanraj’s wedding outfits. She says that he will look like a prince in him. Pakhi comes with his phone. Kavya gives Vanraj’s outfit to her and shows her the wedding dress. Pakhi thinks that she has heard that father’s cry after seeing their daughter’s wedding dress. She says she doesn’t know how to react to her father’s wedding outfit. Baa asks Vanraj why he looks sad, he says he is fine. She says he is bringing a woman in the house who can be a good wife but not a good mother or bahu. Vanraj says that she should give Kavya a chance.
Nandini helps Kavya select her wedding dress and jewellery. She says that she wants her to look the best. Kavya says she thought Nandini would be with Anupamaa wiping her tears. Nandini says that Anupamaa is happy and doesn’t need anyone to wipe her tears. Kavya asks which song will Samar, Pakhi and Toshu dance on. Nandini says she is not sure if they will come. Anupamaa brings fruits for the kids. Dolly asks how can she not be bothered by Vanraj’s marriage. She says when others are happy they should not be bothered. Samar says he won’t attend the wedding. Anupamaa says that Vanraj might not be a good husband but he was a good father. He should attend the wedding.
