The episode of Anupamaa starts with Nandini seeing Samar walking sadly on the streets and asks him what’s the matter. Samar replies but Nandini doesn’t understand. She slips and goes to fall, Samar holds her. At home, Kinjal tells Baa and Anupamaa that Samar will come to know about the surprise if they prepare cake in the kitchen. Anupamaa says she will prepare on the terrace. Vanraj says he will get cake and snacks for the children. He says he will also bring sugar-free cones for Bapuji. At Nandini’s house, Samar puts medicine on Nandini’s ankle. Nandini shows him flowers and surprises him. Samar gets happy and hugs. She gives him a cupcake and feeds him. Nandini apologises for not wishing him at night as she didn’t want to disturb his time with family. Samar tells her that she is also his family.
Vanraj gets ready for Samar’s birthday. Kavya asks him if he is getting ready for her, he says no. She asks what is happening downstairs. Vanraj says if she wants to know she should come down and check. Kavya goes down, seeing the decorations and asks whose birthday it is. Meenu says it’s Samar’s. Kavya says Samar is not a kid to celebrate his birthday with the family, he should go out in the club with friends. She asks if they need her help. Kinjal tells her to help them decorate, Kavya comments that she didn’t like this childish decoration.
Samar enters, the family members surprise him and wish him. Samar gets happy and greets everyone. Mamaji and Nandini join the family members as well. They all dance together. Anupamaa cries remembering childhood memories of Samar. Vanraj brings the cake. Kavya asks him if he got it from his cafe as employees get a discount. Vanraj says he got it from the cafe because it’s the best. Kavya says only people with big pay packages should buy the best. Dolly tells Kavya what’s the point of having a big pay package when her talks are cheap.
After cutting the cake, family members give their gifts to Samar. Vanraj gifts Samar a guitar. Samar gets emotional and accepts it. Vanraj asks if he liked the gift. Samar happily says yes. Everyone is curious about what Anupamaa will give Samar. Toshu asks what special gift does mummy have as Samar is her special son. Anupamaa says her gift is with Baa. Baa asks what she mean. Anupamaa brings Samar and Nandini together and asks for Baa’s blessings.
