The episode of Anupamaa starts with Kavya getting a daydream of Anuj and Vanraj fighting. She prays to God that this dream doesn’t come true. Nandini tells Kinjal that Rohan is stalking her. She fears losing Samar and says Rohan can go to any extent to separate them. Kinjal tells her to calm down as they will deal with this problem together. Nandini says they will solve the problem that Rohan does in front of them, but what about the things he does behind them. Kavya asks Anupamaa if she got a call from Anuj. Anupamaa says no and hopes that Vanraj and Anuj don’t start fighting. Kavya says she fears the same. Baa while switching off the lights see the envelop that has Nandini’s picture. She goes to pick it up when Kinjal comes and stops her and quickly picks it up. Vanraj and Anuj start dancing to the song Hum Dono Hain Alag Alag. Anupamaa and Kavya are shocked. Anupamaa asks how the world changed suddenly. Kavya says they both are drunk.
Anupamaa says Vanraj has not touched alcohol in years. Anuj and Vanraj dance on a romantic song, Kavya joins Vanraj and dances with him. Anuj and Vanraj remove their shirts on Punjabi songs. Kavya and Anupamaa drag them out of the club. Vanraj and Anuj express love to each other, say that they are brothers. Kavya asks what happens to men when they are drunk. She records a video to show it to them later. Anuj and Vanraj continue their drama, Kavya and Anupamaa scold and order them to sit in one place. Anupamaa and Kavya go to get help. When they are gone Anuj says he loves Anumapaa. Vanraj asks if he is talking about Toshu’s mother, his Anupamaa. Anuj corrects him saying Kavya is his and not Anupamaa. Vanraj says correct and forgets what they were talking about.
Anuj again says he loves Anupamaa. Vanraj asks when did he fell in love. Anuj says 26 years ago on 23rd July 1995 at 3 p.m. Vanraj says he didn’t even know Anupamaa at that time. Vanraj asks how come he didn’t forget Anupamaa after 26 years. Anuj says he tried to forget her a lot but the lamp of love doesn’t extinguish. Vanraj says he is a poet and should recite a poem. Vanraj says he was with Anupamaa for 25 years and still didn’t love her. They had children, fight, divorce and everything else in marriage except love. Anuj asks why did he not love Anupamaa. Vanraj says he is thinking about the same question. He says there was no love but there was something between them that is still there.
Anuj says that it shows, Vanraj asks if he doesn’t have any problem with it. Anuj says no. Vanraj asks when Anuj and Anupamaa don’t have any problem why does he have a problem. Anuj says only Vanraj can answer that. Vanraj jokes about calling Vanraj and questioning him. Anupamaa heads to them with curd, she tells God she wanted to see lots of things but not this. Vanraj tells he got married to Anupamaa in 1996 and Anuj fell in love in 1995. He asks Anuj what he was doing for one year. Anuj says he gathered the courage to confess his feelings for one year. He took his friend Bunty’s scooter and went to Anupamaa’s house, but he was left behind. Vanraj asks left behind from whom. Anuj says from Vanraj.
