The episode of Anupamaa starts with Anupamaa apologizing to Baa, holding her feet for her misbehaviour under bhang influence. Baa tells her that the things that she has said while being intoxicated cannot be taken back. Pakhi shows her the video of Anupamaa when she consumed bhang. Anupamaa feels embarrassed and says that she wasn’t in her right senses. All the members of the family tell her that they are not angry but embarrassed by her behaviour. Anupamaa feels sorry and hugs Baa, Baa tells her to go and freshen up.
Anupamaa serves breakfast to the family, she sees Vanraj and feels shy. The whole family sits together and discuss their family vacation. Anupamaa apologises to Vanraj and says it’s okay and informs her about the lawyer’s notice, he also says that they need to visit the court after 2 days to finalize the divorce. While the family is discussing the vacation Anupamaa and Vanraj inform that their divorce will be finalized in 3 days, but everyone ignores it.
Later, Vanraj walks into their room and has a flashback of giving his friend’s divorce papers to Anupamaa and Anupamaa worrying and asking him to not divorce her. He tells her that it’s his friend’s divorce paper and that he is not divorcing Anupamaa. On that, Anupamaa replies what if she divorces him. Vanraj jokingly tells her that Baa will slap her and scold her.
Suddenly he gets a call and comes back to his reality. He thinks about how he once joked about divorce and how it is happening for real. Anupamaa returns to the room. Vanraj tells her that he can’t believe that they are so close to divorce. She replies by saying that she was the one who wanted a divorce but when it is happening she is having a hard time comprehending it. She says that it is a weird feeling, and it feels like something in her heart is broken.
Vanraj says that he feels the same way. He says that his old habits like calling her for tea will not go away easily. They both decide to go to the family picnic to celebrate new beginnings and spend time with family. Anupamaa reminds Vanraj of their wedding day how they promised to stay together for seven lives but were unable to stay together for even one.
Earlier she used to feel that a piece of paper is not capable of breaking the oath taken in front of the fire. But now she believes it. She says that when her heart and trust was broken she got mad and could not carry the pain on her shoulders. Anupamaa says that it is good that they are separating but will be with their family.
