The episode of Anupamaa starts with Vanraj apologising to Anupamaa for whatever Kavya did at Toshu’s wedding.
Anupamaa says that she is not sorry for what she did to Kavya as it was her son’s wedding. Anupamaa says that she feels bad as Vanraj met with an accident because of Kavya.
Vanraj then tells Anupamaa that if she doesn’t like to come in his room, he will hire a caretaker for him. Anupamaa says that Baa, Pakhi and Samar can take care of Vanraj and that they don’t need any caretaker. Vanraj says that after what he did to Anupamaa, will his family support him?
Anupamaa says that Vanraj has no relation with her, but is a son, father and father-in-law in this house.
Anupamaa then goes out. Samar comes to Anupamaa and asks if something is wrong. Anupamaa says that people teach women to forgive their partner’s mistake and accept them. Anupamaa says that now the society will tell Anupamaa to forgive Vanraj as he has come back home.
Anupamaa cries and says that she will never forgive and forget what Vanraj did to her.
Samar then goes to Vanraj’s room to give him Khichdi. Vanraj finds it difficult to eat. Samar then feeds Vanraj and asks him to take medicine.
Vanraj then asks Samar to type a leave application. Samar agrees and types a leave application for Vanraj. Then, Vanraj asks Samar to go to Kavya’s house and get his laptop.
Samar then goes to Kavya and asks for Vanraj’s laptop. Kavya writes a note and sticks it on the laptop. Samar then takes the laptop and leaves.
Later, Pakhi comes to Anupamaa and says that Vanraj has some work with Anupamaa. Pakhi gets Anupamaa in the livingroom.
Vanraj gathers all the family members and says that he wanted to give a surprise to his family. Vanraj says that he wants his family to celebrate the New Year as last year was very heavy for all of them. Vanraj then apologises to everyone as they had to suffer a lot because of him.
Pakhi says that Vanraj planned everything and she executed Vanraj’s plan. Pakhi then asks Vanraj to sing a song and start the party. Vanraj sings a retro song. Pakhi then plays music, and everyone enjoys dancing.
Then, everyone cuts the cake and feed each other.
Meanwhile, Kavya thinks of calling Vanraj and greeting him. Kavya calls Vanraj, but Vanraj is busy enjoying with his family.
Kavya then calls on the landline. Sachi answers the call.
Kavya hears the background voices and disconnects the call.
Later, Pakhi asks everyone to write their wishes on a paper. Anupamaa writes about juggling well between family and work. Vanraj writes family in his chit.
