The episode of Anupamaa starts with Anumapaa serving aarti everyone. She thinks everyone is trying to make her happy as she will be going after divorce. Baa gets emotional Vanraj confronts her. Anupamaa gets excited seeing her masala boxes. Samar says her masala boxes are incomplete without her so mamaji brought them here. Kinjal video calls Anupamaa, she asks Kinjal how is she and when she will come back. Kinjal says soon and then they will have lots of fun. Kavya is jealous thinking that the house is changed but the situation is still the same, Anupamaa and Vanraj are together while she is alone.
The family is dancing with Anupamaa. Kavya calls Vanraj outside. She congratulates him as he got another chance to live with Anupamaa. She says he is using her illness as an excuse to not divorce. Vanraj asks her if she didn’t see the reports. She says that the reports didn’t say that he has stayed with Anupamaa. He tells her that Anupamaa has served his family for twenty-five years and when she needs him he can’t leave her. He says Anupamaa needs her family as well as treatment, she is his responsibility and he will take care of her. Kavya asks what is she to him, he tells her why she compares herself to his family. He tells her that Anupamaa was there for him when he needed her so he will do the same.
Anupamaa finds herbs to put in tea but is wondering whose permission to take to pluck them. Advaith walks to her and says she can ask Kanhaji when no one is around. He says she can pluck the leaves but has to make tea for him as well. She happily agrees. He says he is surprised to see her so positive even in this condition. She asks what he means. He says people start feeling negative after hearing about their illness. Anupamaa thinks of how her family is trying to keep her happy and asks him what he thinks about her reports. He says she has a tumour in her ovaries. She is shocked, he tells her that her condition is critical but doctors don’t give up easily. She asks him if she will die, he says everyone has to die someday. Anupamaa asks how much time she has, he says only Kanhaji can answer that question. But he can tell at what stage her tumour is after her advanced reports are in. Anupamaa walks away he thinks she is more concerned about her family than about herself.
Anupamaa thinks of her family, she wonders Kinjal hasn’t learned to manage yet, Samar’s career hasn’t started, who will take care of Baa and Bapuji, who will take care of Pakhi’s studies. She thinks of all this and says that Kanhaji should do whatever he has to do soon, she doesn’t want to be a burden on the family and starts crying.
