The episode of Anupamaa starts with Anupamaa telling Baa that her school restarts from tomorrow. She tells Baa that she will do all her household work and then go to school. Samar tells Baa she used to say Bahu should do all the household work. Kinjal says he is right, she and Kavya will do all the household chores. She reminds Kavya that she can’t take any more leaves from her job. Kavya tells her that she has to work as Vanraj is jobless. Vanraj comes down and hears it. Anupamaa tells Samar that her online class starts tomorrow. Vanraj tells Anupamaa that she is trying to show off. Anupamaa tells him that not everything she does is to make him jealous. Kinjal tells Vanraj that it was Kavya who commented on his Job and not Anupamaa. Vanraj walks away.
Kavya calls Vanraj Baby and tells him to have food. Vanraj yells at her to stop calling him a baby and not humiliate him in front of his family. Kavya says she was just giving a reply to Kinjal. She says he should get a job if he wants to shut his family’s mouth. The next morning few neighbors gossip about Anupamaa staying in the same house even after divorce. Baa comes and fights for Anupamaa. Anupamaa tells Baa to calm down and gives a befitting reply to the neighbors. She tells them that she is living with her parents and children on the ground floor while Mr Shah stays with his wife on the first floor.
Vanraj tells Anupamaa she convinced Baa but how will she control the society. Anupamaa says she only told the truth. Vanraj yells at him to stop giving him lectures. Kavya comes down wearing a short nightie. Bapuji gets embarrassed and leaves. Baa tells Kavya that their handkerchief is bigger than her dress. Kavya asks what is wrong with her dress, she got it from London. Anupamaa says the dress is nice but not appropriate for the place. She tells her that she can’t wear home clothes to the office, similarly, she can’t wear bedroom clothes in the living room. Kavya apologizes saying she didn’t know and goes to change.
Vanraj tells Anupamaa that Kavya made a mistake but she had no right to scold her. Anupamaa says she corrected her because Baa and Bapuji felt embarrassed and tells him that they should follow certain rules in the family. He asks if a divorced woman will teach what family means. She questions him if a man who cheated on his wife will teach family values. The next morning Kavya comes down asking for breakfast. Baa says they finished breakfast as they thought she will eat salad. Anupamaa says there’s thepla. Vanraj tells Kavya to make bread toast. Anupamaa takes her tiffin and leaves for school.
