The episode of Anupamaa starts with Kavya getting a call from her boss because she is late. She kisses Vanraj and leaves with his car. Vanraj fumes, Bapuji arranges a bike for Vanraj so that he can go for his interview. Vanraj takes blessings from Baa and Bapuji. Baa encourages him that he will get the job. Anupamaa reaches the school. She greets the watchman and gives mangoes for his daughter. The watchman says she hasn’t forgotten anything, Anupamaa says how can she forget such a lovely child. The watchman tells her that the school children are missing her, he gives her an entry book and tells her to sign. Anupamaa requests the watchman if she can change her name from Anupamaa Shah to only Anupamaa. The watchman says okay and gives her a form to fill.
Anupamaa goes inside and the children come running towards her happily. They give her the greeting cards they made and tell her never to take such a long leave again. Anupamaa gets a call from Samar saying they have to go to visit the factory for dance academy planning, so he and Nandini will pick her up after school. The interviewer tells Vanraj that the company needs young passionate employees and not middle-aged people like him. Vanraj tells him that young people have passion but he has experience as well as passion. He tells the interviewer that he knows an uneducated housewife who has started her life at the age of 46 by teaching dance to students at school. She desires and is planning to start her dance academy, If she can do it why can’t he.
Baa and Bapuji are watching movies, Rakhi comes and taunts them. Baa tells her to mind her business. Kinjal comes and says she will make food and bring black coffee for her mother. Rakhi tells Baa and Bapuji that they are making Kinjal work like a servant. Baa says that she and Bapuji have made the dough and have cut vegetables. Kinjal tells Rakhi that she loves her family and likes to work for them. Rakhi tells her to concentrate on her career and keep a maid for household chores. Kinjal says nobody is forcing her to do household chores, she says there is nothing wrong in working for the family.
Samar and Nandini take Anupamaa to the dance academy. She describes the way she wants to design the place. Nandini tells her that it will look very cool. They drop Anupamaa home. Anupamaa shows the greeting cards given by children to Baa and Bapuji and happily tells them about the dance academy. She goes to make tea, Vanraj comes home with a sad face. Bapuji and Baa noticing his sadness encourage him to not lose hope and keep looking for a job.
